Privacy Policy

This explains what Spendglide collects, why, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

We collect your account details — name, email, and phone number — along with the financial data you enter or connect yourself, including expenses, income, loans, investments, and goals.

If you turn on Auto-Import, we also read bank and UPI transaction SMS messages. This is opt-in — it's off unless you switch it on — and the filtering happens on your device: only messages that look like transactions are picked out and sent to our servers. Everything else on your phone is left alone.

How we use it

We use your data to run the features you're actually using — budgeting, loan tracking, investment tracking, tax planning, and AI CFO.

When you get a response from AI CFO, we send the relevant snapshot of your financial data — for example, the income, expenses, or goals connected to your question — to Anthropic's API to generate that response. Anthropic does not use this data to train their models.

What we don't do

We do not sell your personal or financial data, to anyone, ever. We do not use your data to serve you third-party ads.

Your rights

You can export a copy of your data or delete your account at any time, from Security & Privacy in your Profile. Deleting your account removes your data from our systems, except for anything we're legally required to hold onto (see Account Deletion below for specifics).

Where this sits legally

Spendglide is operated for users in India, and this policy is scoped to the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP), 2023.

Terms & Conditions

The service

Spendglide is a personal finance tracking and planning app. It's a tool to help you understand and plan your finances — it does not manage your money, move funds on your behalf, or act as a bank, broker, or registered investment advisor.

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure, and for the accuracy of the financial data you enter into the app.

Acceptable use

Don't use Spendglide to store someone else's data without their consent. Don't try to reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise abuse the service.

No warranty

The app is provided as-is. We work hard to keep calculations — EMI, tax, retirement projections, and the rest — accurate, but you shouldn't treat any figure in the app as professional financial or tax advice. For AI-generated content specifically, see the AI Disclaimer below.

AI Disclaimer

AI CFO is not a financial advisor

Insights, recommendations, and chat responses from AI CFO are generated by a large language model based on the financial data in your account. They're meant to be informational and educational — not professional financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.

It can be wrong

AI-generated numbers, projections, and suggestions can be inaccurate, or based on incomplete context. Before you act on anything that affects a real financial decision — a purchase, an investment, a loan — double-check it yourself.

What we send

To generate a response, we send a snapshot of the financial data relevant to your question — for example, your income, expenses, or goals — to Anthropic's API. See the Privacy Policy above for how that data is handled.

Refund Policy

Free trial

Spendglide Premium includes a 7-day free trial. If you cancel before the trial ends, you won't be charged anything.

Subscription charges

Once a paid billing period starts, charges are generally non-refundable — except where required by law or by app store policy. If you subscribed through Google Play or the Apple App Store, their refund rules apply to that purchase.

Requesting a refund

If you think you were charged in error, contact us at support@spendglide.app (placeholder address — to be confirmed before this policy is finalized) and we'll review it.

Subscription Terms

Plans

Spendglide Premium is available as a monthly or annual subscription. It unlocks Debt Optimizer, Retirement Planning, Insurance Vault, and other premium features.

Billing & renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel beforehand. You can cancel any time from Profile → Spendglide Premium. Cancelling stops future renewals, but your current paid period stays active until it ends.

Price changes

If pricing changes, we'll notify existing subscribers before it applies to their next renewal.

Account & Data Deletion

How to delete your account

Go to Profile → Security & Privacy → Delete Account. This action is irreversible, so make sure it's what you want before you confirm.

What happens to your data

Deleting your account removes your profile and financial data from our active systems. Some data may be retained for a limited period where required for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention reasons, and deleted after that period ends.

Exporting before you delete

If you want a copy of your financial history first, use "Export my data" in Security & Privacy before you delete your account.
